Kacie creates 'Bows for Boxes' legacy in memory of her stillborn baby brother
We were blown away when we heard that 9 year old Kacie had chosen to raise money for us following the loss of her baby brother, Jacob, to stillbirth on 07 January 2015. Kacie was only 5 when Jacob passed away. In April 2019, Kacie came up with the idea 'Bows for Boxes' where she made hair bows and sold them to her school friends and teachers for £1 per bow. She set herself a target to sell 100 bows. She smashed this target and within 5 days she had sold 109 bows. Kacie continued to sell the bows throughout the rest of the month and made an amazing total of £243!!!We would like to say a huge thank you to Kacie for raising money in memory of her brother and donating it to the charity. Kacie has asked for the money to be put towards memory boxes for other families. We are sure that Jacob will be very proud of his big sister and what she has achieved in his memory. Amy and Ryan were delighted to attend Kacie's school on 11 June 2019. Kacie had no idea that they were coming to the whole school assembly to present her with a thank you letter and certificate of appreciation. It was brilliant to see such a proud smile on her face.
